About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime.
A man’s lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 883. Ref: Breast Cancer Org.
Don’t forget:
-Monthly self-exams
-Annual women's check-up with your OB/GYN
-Annual mammogram once you turn 40
If you know anyone that is a survivor, please give them a call/text/send a card/ and let them know how much they mean to you and you are happy they kicked cancer in the butt.
Also if someone you know is going through Breast Cancer, set up reminders to check in on them and help them out even if it's dropping things off at their front door. With no visitors and being extra careful with COVID-19, they may be lonely and also very tired from treatment.
